Recently a photographer in Southern California asked for Guest Bloggers to post while she took a well deserved vacation with her family. She wanted a new perspective from her readers and asked for them to submit ideas. Well, I had an idea floating around in my head for quite awhile and I submitted it. Within 24 hours, I got an e-mail that said this. "Dorie, you are in! Can you have it to me by Thursday. - Drew". I almost fell off my chair. I didn't really expect to be picked and now the ideas that were floating around in my head would have to come out in some organized fashion for others to read. I don't know about you but sometimes I have a hard time putting my thoughts down on paper. Too many words usually and I don't expect anyone to make sense of it but me.
But I managed and am happy to say that I had a published blog post on a blog other than my own.
Mom*Tog is a blog run by Drew B. in Southern California focusing on helping moms become better photographers. She gets into the details of how she shoots, what she shoots with and other stuff that is good to know. I appreciate her accepting my pitch and look forward to a chance to be able to do it again. I do have a part two, if she wants it. I was also excited to put my words on her blog because she lives very, very close to where I grew up and we California girls need to stick together.
Thanks Drew!
You can check out my post here. And if you like it, leave a comment there so she knows you visited.
And if you are a Mom*Tog or even a Dad*Tog check out the blog often. She has some great information there.
